photoblog image 6 of Twelve

6 of Twelve

Taken at 20:12hrs as the night falls. These are the remenants of days gone by in Gardenstown.

Here I used my ND8 filter & tripod to capture this image. This is definately a place to visit if you like peace and scenery.

Fabulous image Alan, you have made it look well worth a visit smile
Alan Wild: Thanks Linda. It's just 10 miles or so from where Pennan, where parts of Local Hero were filmed.
This is so lovely!
Great exposure.

Lovely shot Alan, I prefer this to the previous one to be honest.

Very nice Alan, I rather fancy one of those ND8 filters.
Alan Wild: Many thanks. My ND8 wasn't quite as dark as I hoped. If I had the spare cash I'd maybe invest in the Lee Big Stopper which is completely black. In the meantime I'll continue with my ND8 for a 4 stop but will keep using my welding glass. Much cheaper....£2.50. Hope you had a great time on the west coast, it's gorgeous but at this time of year there are too many midges.
This is great Alan, do you just take a chance with your long exposures or is there some formula (showing my ignorance ) and where do you get welding glass from? I hope you don't mind me asking, i really like your landscapes/ seascapes.
They are excellent.
beautiful! stunning
Cracking shot Alan.
