photoblog image Storm approaching Arbroath.

Storm approaching Arbroath.

I could see during the day....skies turning grey, winds picking up, temperature dropping rapidly and of course...driving rain.

I raced down to the harbour not knowing what to expect. it looked like half the town of Arbroath turned out to view the waves crashing in over the sea wall.

Alan Wild: I agree.
Cracking shot Alan, welcome to shutterchance !
Regards Jim
Alan Wild: Thanks Jim for the welcome.
Wonderful how your composition leads the eye into the storm, and the slow exposure really brings out the wildness of the waves.
Alan Wild: Thanks Donald.....and it was bloody freezing!

my favourite shot of yours so far. the sloping horizon is a slight irritation but the vibrancy and energy of the scene overwhelms. Fantastic composition too!
Alan Wild: Thanks Paul, I know about the horizon...but doing that would have been TOO false! I hope you understand.

Brilliant shot. Brilliant processing.
Now I have seen your 100th.posting which is this same spot Alan it is interesting how the two differ because of the time of year and so on. I like this very much.
